YAP National Event 2022 – ‘Equality for Everyone’
Young people, families and Advocates came from all over Ireland to attend YAP Ireland’s National Event – ‘Equality for Everyone’ and celebrated its 20th birthday. The event was held in Croke Park Conference Centre on August 18th.
The young people, who are all participants on the YAP programme, have been working on projects throughout the year on the theme of ‘Equality for Everyone’.
The theme came directly from the young people themselves from discussions on what they thought was the most important issue affecting our society today.
We are so proud of every YAP young person who attended and participated on the day. The presentations, poems, artwork, speeches, interviews and videos were elevated by all your creativity, input and enthusiasm. And to those who could not attend we thank you for all your help in the lead up to the event.
We hope that all who attended had an enjoyable day, made some YAP friends and learned something new and interesting.
We were honoured to welcome so many wonderful speakers on the day. We felt it was important for attendees to hear from various essential services and organisations that cater to the needs of young people such as BelongTo, AsIAm, Tusla, Sunbeam House, St John of God and many more.
We would like to thank all of the Young People, Advocates, staff, organisations and working professionals who attended and took part in our event. It was an amazing success!
