On Monday 27th April in Park House there was a Cake Decoration Night for young people and Advocates. Sarah & Jade, both Advocates with YAP Ireland came up with the idea of showing young people how to decorate and make their own cakes. In preparation for the night Jade made some cakes and buns, Sarah bought flans, meringues and toppings for the decorations.
On the night there was a great turn out and it was great to hear the young people say they had been looking forward to it for days in advance. Jade did a demonstration on the night with different ingredients to show the young people how easy it is to do at home. Then the young people decorated their own cakes and buns. It was enjoyed by both girls and boys from all different age groups and everyone was delighted with the results.
