YAP Ireland are delighted to announce the 1st ever YAP Patron Sophie Spence – Ireland International Ladies Rugby player.
Sophie was introduced to Young People and Staff at the National Youth Forum which took place in Dublin on 17/02/2015 with 25 or so Young People in attendance. On becoming YAP’s first patron, Sophie Spence said “It is an exciting time to be asked to be a Patron for YAP as my whole career to date has been leading to helping young people, and this program is another great way in which young people can make changes to their lives for the better”
At the event itself Sophie spoke about how she got into rugby and how important it was to keep aiming for your goals even when sometimes things get tough. We are delighted to have Sophie on board and look forward to her participation in future events.
