Joan King, Service Manager YAP Ireland CLG, represented YAP at the Tusla Child Protection and Welfare Strategy event in Croke Park on 22nd May. The Child & Family Agency has launched their initiative around working with young people and families in ‘Creating Effective Safety’, and it brings much of YAP’s strengths-based approach to working with clients and communities. Tusla have committed in the strategy to children and families being at the centre of assessment and decision-making. It was a greatly insightful conference and we look forward to the strategy’s implementation.
