The Dublin Participation group wrote to Katherine Zappone, Minister for Children and Youth Affairs, asking if she could arrange for them to visit Dail Eireann. The Minister kindly arranged the trip which took place on the 11th July 2017, on the day the group met with Darragh O’Brien TD. The group was very grateful to the Minister for arranging the visit and would recommend this day out to all Young People.

The group created a YAP Emoji which depicted the various ways the group had brought about change. The YAP Emoji was unveiled at the YAP National event.

The group met each week to create Art Murals with the help of Art Therapists Fiona and Natasha. The Art Murals focused on their ideas on how they could bring about change.

The young people in the Dublin Participation group cooked a dish every week for each other, so they came up with the idea of making a YAP Cookbook. They published the YAP Cookbook and then presented it at the YAP National event.

One young person in the group created a YAP Plaque as part of their participation project. The YAP Plaque is now displayed in the Dublin office.

Another young person in the group created a poem entitled The Girl in the Mirror as part of the participation project. The poem was read at the YAP National event.
