Making a model car engine
We built a model car engine over three nights. The feeling of achievement when it was finished was incredible.

Yap Ireland would like to extend a huge thank you to our colleagues from YAP Inc. who spent a few days with us implementing training to our staff, young people and stakeholders on the methodology of the street soccer movement.
Thank you to all those who took part in the 2016 VHI Women's Mini-Marathon!
When Tina* (10) was referred to YAP she lived with her mother and little sister in homeless accommodation in Dublin city. Her mother had struggled with addiction issues for the last 15 years. The advocate started working with the family last August, initially building up the relationship and trust.
In August 2015 we asked Young People to design plaques for the doors of the new offices in Dublin. Four young people submitted artwork (see images below) which are now on display in the new office. A big thank you goes out to Dwayne, Emma, Kirsty and all the other young people who took part. We still have a lot of wall space that we are looking for young people from around the country to cover so please keep the artwork and photographs coming.

Congratulations to Young Person Jessica on taking part in Malahide's Got Talent on Sunday night. Jessica did fantastic and definitely has a future in singing. Also thanks to her advocate Christine for supporting her to pursue this and getting her enrolled in a number of different competitions. You can see a picture of Jessica in action attached. Apologies the quality of the picture is not great.
13 young people and Advocates attended a fabulous pamper night organised by Advocates Louise Dwyer & Breffene Rogan on 26th January in Dublin. A huge thank you to Kelly for coming in and doing the girls make-up. She did a fantastic job, and they were all delighted with the little presents. Also many thanks to Breffene for doing the girls nails & Louise & Breffene for organising the night.
