YAP Ireland CLG are delighted to announce the launch of their 2016 Annual Report and their Strategic Plan 2017-2020. The launch took place in the YAP Head office in Park House, North Circular Road, Dublin on 23rd March 2017.
YAP staff members Andrew Chapple, Catriona Lawless and Joe Johnston attending the Internet Safety seminar 'Keeping Children Safe On Line- A Collaborative Approach to Internet Safety' held in Galway on the 8th of February to mark Internet Safety Week.
YAP Ireland are delighted to announce that we have been presented with the Investing in Children Membership Award for the third year in a row, celebrating young people's voice and input as a key part of YAP's work.
Yap Ireland CLG are presented with a TESCO Community Fund Cheque from Tesco in Ballinasloe.
In October 2015, 2 young people from the Cavan programme, Niamh and Katelyn, along with their Advocates, Ciara and Ann attended a training session in the Dublin office to prepare them to sit on the interview panel for prospective Advocates. The feedback from both Niamh and Katelyn and their Advocates was extremely positive.
On Friday 21st October in Dublin, I attended a morning event which was all of the following at the one time: disturbing, enlightening, uplifting and ultimately positive, yet challenging. The title of the event hosted by YAP Ireland CLG was, ‘Children who Challenge Us Most’.
Two young people and their advocates took part in the Ocean to City Race again this year in Cork on Saturday 4th June 2016.
A big thank you to everyone who attended the YAP Comedy Night, which took place at the Laughter Lounge, Eden Quay, Dublin on 19th May 2016. A great night was had by all and there was plenty of fun and laughs. Thank you to also to those who sold tickets and those who contributed to
Congratulations to the Young People, Families and Staff of YAP Ireland CLG on another hugely successful event. Over 250 people gathered in Croke Park to see the result of all the work done throughout the last year. There were videos and presentations from Young People and Parent participation groups throughout Ireland.
