Six of your young people from Dublin, Kildare and Meath took part in a seminar recognising solidarity between generations and celebrating the act of making your voice heard. The event organised by the Older and Bolder organisation was attended by the President Michael D. Higgins.

Congratulations to Karen Williams and her team for organising a cake sale in Cavan on 21st July which raised a total of €213.93. It was a great sucess and we want to say a huge thank you to Advocates, young people and parents that were involved in the fundraiser.

YAP Cork participated in the Cork Ocean to City Race on the 8th of June 2013 and over the previous number of months young people and some parents have been training together in order to complete the trip.  There was a carnival atmosphere in Cork that weekend and YAP staff across the country joined in to see

Frances Fitzgerald, T.D. Minister for Children and Youth Affairs addressed the audience attending our ‘I am a citizen’ national event on 23rd October in the Croke Park conference centre.
