Who We Work With
Yap Ireland works with young people and families whose lives have been impacted by disadvantage. We support them to reach their goals by making the improvements they consider necessary. We gather information about our clients, and this give us a picture of the overall demographic profile of the young people and families. This is very useful information for us as it supports us to focus on the needs of our clients and helps us design our service to meet their needs.
This data is captured in our Annual Reports and can be viewed on this website. Our Young People who access our intensive support programme are ages from 8-18 and live in 22 counties around Ireland.
YAP Ireland receive referrals from the following agencies who fund our clients services:
- Tusla, The Child and Family Agency
- HSE, The Health Service Executive
- Oberstown Detention Centre, Irish Youth Justice
- CAMHS, Child and Adolescence Mental Health Services
- St Patrick’s University Hospital
